Matariki

We are learning all about Matariki.

What did I find interesting?

What I fawned interesting was that there were so miny ways to sealerbrat Matariki and that there was not only one way.

Why did you I think it was interesting?

I think that matariki is super interesting because the stares can make this symbol that tales as that it is the Moire new yer and it can also tall us that it is a good time for growing crops.

Was there anything that surprised you in my learning?

The thing that surprised me in my learning was that there was 500 matariki stars but you can only see 7 with your naced aye.

What did I enjoy doing the most?

What I rely liked doing was doing all the art- The stares- The Kites- The panting.

Learning Reflection -

What did I do well?
what I did well was that when I did my Kite I did it and when I was well I helped anthers.

What was tricky?
What was tricky was that when I did the panting we had to cut out some pepole and I think that that was tricky.

What could I do better next time?
What I can do well next time with is that I can do beater on my Kite.

celebrating punga at ramanui school

WALT find out what students at one school do to celebrate the Māori New Year. WALT to use the main ideas to summarise the text.
My group in reading have been reading about celebrating punga at ramanui school.
I fowend this text really interesting because I had never known that there was a thing that was called punga. The most interesting thing that I fowend in the text was that was that the school ramanui can not see the Matariki so they us punga to know that the mori new yer.
I have made this google drawing with 5 fact's in it and what I fowend tricky to do was when I had to do all of the fax and what I can extend my self next time with is that I can make my google drawing more inspiring.

Reading - Plastic Free Challenge

WALT find out some of the causes, effects, and solutions for plastic pollution.

I think the Plastic free challenge is a very good way to save our planet. Scientists have said that in 2050 there will most probably be more plastic in the sea then fish!

IT IS TIME FOR THIS PLASTIC TO DISAPPEAR!!

I think that every one can make a different and  what a lot of people are doing for the planet and they are just chucking it on the ground.

DO SOME THING WITH THE PLASTIC THAT YOU HAVE AT HOME AND IT WILL MAKE A BIG DIFFERENCE.

I think that the hardest thing was to do all the writing for the slide.
What I did well was that I learnt a new way to put in links and it makes it more interesting for my readers.
What I can extend myself next time with is that I can put more ideas in my slide to help save the planet.
What I found interesting was that the school had so much plastic in the school. One thing that I will make sure I will do is that I will have paper instead of glad wrap around my sandwiches.
Another thing that everybody can change is that instead of buying milk in plastic we can put it in cardboard.

Bubble Memories

We are sharing memories from our lock down bubble

First we had to do some writing in our writing book.
2nd we had to find some photo for our slide to make a snap shot.
3rd we had to put our writing on the slide and then we had to put in a photo to every slide. The last thing we did was that we had to put it on our blog.
The thing that I found  tricky was when I had to get all the  photos for the slides. The thing that I did well was that I took my time and did not rush. The thing that I think  I can do well next time is that I can make my slide more inspiring.

The Striped Invader

The 1st thing that we did in our learning was that we found some interesting and tricky words because we wanted to increase our vocabulary.

The 2nd thing that we did was that we were skimming and scanning for 5 facts about wasps.

I think that the hardest thing that I did was when I had to find the pictures and understanding the vocabulary.

What I did well was that I got all of my arrows in my life cycle in the right place.

What can I do better next time is that I could make my slide backgrounds better.

Kawa of Care Assembly-Draft Writing

WALT understand the Kawa of care and write a recount about our assembly experience.

Check out my draft writing...

One day when the sun was shining Te manga had a exciting day ahead of them.It was Friday and we were having our class assembly! We were having our class assembly at Paparore school on West coast road in the hole.Son all the Paparore whano, teachers and kids were in the hole and it was time for the intro.

After the intro was finished Te Manga came in with music and it was time for me to start talking.I had to talk in a microphone to make my voice louder.I had to say Welcome to our Kawa of care assembly. Before I started talking I had butterflies in my tummy and I was thinking about remembering my lines over and over again.

After all the other acts were finished it was time for me to talk again. As well I had to talk in a microphone to make my voice louder. My second part I had to say Remember if others in the classrooms are not doing the right thing help them out and remind them how to manage their device. Then Alani had to talk and after Alani

was finished it was Atima’s turn to talk. After that it was time for me to talk and I had to say Remember always follow the KAWA OF CARE!!After that everyone started clapping and Kiora said ser can you please hand out the certificates.

Sea Week 2020 Great white shark

WALT use a website to find out information about the sea during Sea Week. The website we are using is https://www.youngoceanexplorers.com/
I have been collecting information from young ocean explorers and the I pot it on a goggle slide. My slide is about the great white shark.I decided to write about the great white shark because it has lot's of interesting and fantastic facts about it's self.I think the most interesting thing about the grate white shark is that it can get 6m long and can get to 70 years of age.I think the most challenging thing for me to do was getting the rite pitchers for the rite text.
