I have been collecting information from young ocean explorers and the I pot it on a goggle slide. My slide is about the great white shark.I decided to write about the great white shark because it has lot's of interesting and fantastic facts about it's self.I think the most interesting thing about the grate white shark is that it can get 6m long and can get to 70 years of age.I think the most challenging thing for me to do was getting the rite pitchers for the rite text.
I am a Year 4 student at Paparore School School in Northland, New Zealand. Whaea Deb is my teacher. My blog is a collection of my work at various stages, across different curriculum areas. Pohutakawa
My reading gorp and I read a book all about pohutakawa's . Then miss Stevenson mad a page with lines and werdes . The lines were for the children to write the ansers and the werdes were for reading

Pōhutakawa Junior Journal 45
Because the pōhutukawa has red flowers and it blooms in December, it is often thought of as New Zealand’s christmas tree. The pōhutukawa is special to Maori, and it provides a habitat and food for many creatures.
Pōhutukawa prefer to grow in warm places by the sea, and they have special features which help them grow in sandy soil. The top of its leaves are shiny and green with a waxy coating which helps protect them from the salt, sun and dry conditions.
The bark is rough which protects the tree from losing water through its trunk and branches. New flower buds have a special covering which helps protect them from wind and salt. The roots grow deep into the soil or sand. They take water from the ground to help them grow and stand up.
Pōhutukawa provide a home and food for birds, insects and other creatures. Some seabirds such as shags make their nests in their branches. Other birds, like the tui, eat the Nectar from the flowers. Lizards and pekapeka also like to eat the nectar. Insects such as weevils and moths eat the leaves, flowers, wood and bark, and live in the dead leaves under the trees.

On the 22.10.19 paparore had a show. The show was at 11am.The show was about Daffy getting stuck in a video game.At the start we sang the daffy sang in sign language. Then the the show began…..it began quit funny then it was really funny when Daffy started dancing and and he put on his granny's glasses on. Then he got sucked into a game called magicblox. In the game magicblox there are mirror wall.At the mirror wall’s you choose your skins first Duffy shoes a masil top and it looks squishy but the dis spatula loves hitting blox so he got chast.then he changed his skin to a chicken and the dispenser thought he was a chicken. In the middle of the show Daffy got really tired and he needed to have some hotdogs[he has hotdogs so he gets inige]but the dismantler had eaten the last one so we had to cheer him on and ges wat a magic hotdog [that you cod not see] came up.Duffy woke up and they came to wreck. They started to look in their grannis magic book and sam found a dumpling resepi but it wasn't a resipi it was a dans. they figured out that they had to do that dance to get out of the game. When they came out of the game they had a chat about what they wanted to be when they grow up because they figured out that their granny made the game magic blox.
