Math Strategy - Rounding and Compensating

WALT solve addition equations using the rounding and compensating strategy.

We have been learning different maths strategy mostly  Rounding and Compensating. Here is an example of  Rounding and Compensating
 99 + 45 =
you take the 99 and make it into 100 so it becomes
100 + 45 = 145
then you take the 45 and - 1 to make it 144 so that is the answer
99 + 45 = 144

I think the hardest thing that I did was having to find out the answer. The thing that I did well was that I did the answer and tried my hardest. I can extend  my learning with using higher numbers.

Rounding and Compensating is an efficient way to solve addition equations. Efficient means quick and easy.

Bubble Memories

We are sharing memories from our lock down bubble

First we had to do some writing in our writing book.
 2nd we had to find some photo for our slide to make a snap shot. 
3rd we had to put our writing on the slide and then we had to put in a photo to every slide. The last thing we did was that we had to put it on our blog. 
The thing that I found  tricky was when I had to get all the  photos for the slides. The thing that I did well was that I took my time and did not rush. The thing that I think  I can do well next time is that I can make my slide more inspiring.

I am heading to a injured dolphin in the demon blue Fijian sea. I am getting distracted by the amazing rough rock path. 

The Striped Invader

The 1st thing that we did in our learning was that we found some interesting and tricky words because we wanted to increase our vocabulary. 

The 2nd thing that we did was that we were skimming and scanning for 5 facts about wasps. 

I think that the hardest thing that I did was when I had to find the pictures and understanding the vocabulary.  

What I did well was that I got all of my arrows in my life cycle in the right place. 

What can I do better next time is that I could make my slide backgrounds better.

Mum you are the best.you make me so happy and you look after me like I am a queen. You are the best ever and you are always there for me when I am happy and sad. We laugh together and we dance to all our favorite songs. You bake with me and you help us out. I know you are worried about your mum and dad but I want you to know that I am too. You fill my heart with love and joy.  You are so kind not only to us kids but to everyone around. When I am with you I feel so happy and I hope you do too. Mum you are like a best friend to everyone. you are a true mum.  I LOVE YOU.
